Formula #1 Comfrey/Honey Salve The ancient Egyptians used a blend of oil and honey as a time tested healer. I have gone one step better by infusing cold pressed olive oil with the impressive healer comfrey. This is the formula Grandpa's friends request to put on their skin cancers. I have had more than one swear it works better than burning them off! Personally I use it for cuts and scrapes- be careful with deep cuts tho' - Comfrey is full of allantoin which speeds cell regeneration- if you have an infected cut- it might heal over the top before it does the bottom. I have also used this formula on some pretty scary looking injuries on horses- my husband's mare ran a post up her hip but Formula #1 did the trick. Now modern science in all its wisdom has taken the active chemical properties from the comfrey leaf and fed it in mega doses to laboratory rats and tried to keep people from using this wonderful God-given herb by saying it caused cancer. However, what they would later admit, is that the rats fed the whole plant had no problems until the doses became extremely large. Most herbalists will tell you that they have no fear of external use of comfrey. Ingredients: Comfrey, olive oil, honey, lavender, clove oil, lemon balm oil, thyme oil, tea tree, St. Johns Wort, calendula, beeswax, vegetable glycerin 1 oz jar 1/4 oz jar from a happy customer I spent three hours shoveling snow and ice off of my roof to prevent a leak. I could not find my gloves so I was working with the shovel and push broom with bare, frozen hands. At the end of three hours my palms were scarlet red and blisters were beginning to form. I remembered that one of the qualities of the Comfrey/Honey salve was that its good on blisters. I applied it twice before I went to bed that night and when I awoke the next morning I was AMAZED at the results. The blisters had not formed and my hands were not even slightly red.
