Flapper Dresses

1926 evening gown This dress was fashioned after yet another dress on antiquedress.com This is my sister and her beau all ready for halloween. Aren't they the cat's meow? Flapper gowns aren't my usual time period but when Nevada was having a themed halloween party- how could I resist going back to my favorite haunt for inspiration. The fabric is a embroidered beaded silk chiffon over a china silk slip. The fabric itself was very unusual it faded from browns to dark rosy pinks throughout, so the images do not do it justice.
