Theodore Roosevelt and "Princess" Alice:
Easily one of the most lively Presidents of the United States, most well known as the man who uttered "Speak softly and carry a big stick" he was not only a man of words but of action- from Rough Rider, to Governor, to President, to Naturalist. To add to the presentation Teddy's daughter Alice may be brought along- a true individualist in her own right!

Edwardian Day Camp for Young Ladies:
Inspired by Oklahoma's statehood, let us organize a day or a week of fun at your site or ours. Everything from period crafts, games, to sewing, to serving tea and manners! PLUS we have historically correct costumes for girls ages 8-12 so they can truly step back into time. Read more about our camps on our site This program can be tailor made to suit your site- from an afternoon craft for kids, to a basic sewing class, to manners presented with a fun tea party!

Stitches in Time:
Clothing for all classes in the 1800's and the changes in fashion.  Displays may include actual and reproduction clothing, accessories, 1880's dressmaking tools, tatting shuttles, fashion magazines, etc.  More information on Marna's historical costuming can be found here. This can be tailored for the museum enthusiast, or on the lighter side for the general lover of victoriana.
We also provide identification/dating services for period photos/ garments.

We also have several lectures with powerpoint displays in this area-these are presented with Marna Jean in full costume, and with a variety of actual artifacts as well to illustrate

Working class dress of the Victorian Era-
Using clues from fashion magazines on "everyday" dress, period photos, and Marna Jean's personal collection of 19th century working clothing, we will examine and discuss what the differences were between those fashion plates and reality, how paper patterns and dressmaker's systems helped bring fashion to the working class, what types of fabrics were in use, exceptions to the "rules" in construction, and some of the shortcuts made to "working class" clothing.
Faces from the Past - Dating Period Photos
Are faces from the past peering namelessly from a shoebox in your closet? Would it help if you could just figure out "about when" those photos were taken? Marna Jean will explain different Victorian and Edwardian photo methods and fashions worn and then explain how both can be used to help place an approximate date on photographs. Attendees are welcome to bring a few of their photographs to be dated; bring a pencil and paper to jot down your newfound information. (Cabinet cards, CDV's, Tintypes and other pre 1920's photos preferred)

Range Wars:
A story of the Cowboy and Shepherdess.
This program may include working displays if you wish in any of our "pioneer" talents (see our resume) These might include spinning yarn on a spinning wheel, displays of saddles, spurs, and other necessities of pioneer home life.
See more of Doug's saddlery.

Parlor Parlay:
Learn about manners and customs in the late 1800's.  Displays may include fashions, fans, parasols, calling cards, and more. This program can be tailored for Civil War or anytime during the Victorian Era. Audience may or may not be involved depending on the situation.

Professor Hezekiah Bullwolfers Medicine Show:
This one is pure fun with a period flare.
A rollicking good time.  Sing-alongs, jokes, and a slick snake-oil salesman and his lovely assistant Miss Fellers will prove laughter is the best medicine

Victorian Fashion Show
You provide the models and we will provide narration and costuming. This is one of the best fashions shows available- we don't just describe the fashion we draw you into the Victorian era. Would you like to see more pictures of the one we put on for the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, WY?
They enjoyed it so much they had us back!
