Dress Shirt, Bib front, Work Shirt, and Lace-up shirt, plus 2 button-on collars.This is a later era men's shirt,
the armscye and gusset under the arm is shaped and is a remnent of economy in cutting. The bib front on the dress
shirt is set in instead of applied (so that a new front could be put in when the old one didn't look nice anymore)
Lace-up shirt and bib reccomended in wool flannel and worn as an overshirt. |

Rancher's Sack Overcoat 1850-1875
Sizes 42, 44, 46 included
A loose fitting double breasted overcoat with a shawl collar, to keep out the meanest norther.
Also featuring the full cut sleeves of the 1860's and 70's and sizing cut to wear over another
jacket or heavy shirt. Looks great lined with an old blanket, and trimmed with leather for durable
wear. About 4 yds fabric needed plus lining.
I made Doug's original from the Tan Old Fashioned Twill (it weathers wonderfully with the first wash) and an old
blanket found at an antique shop |
