Does your little Lady love the American Girl Samantha Series©? Would she like to know more about the life of a young lady at the time of statehood? Step back in time to the Edwardian era with this living history day camp especially designed for girls ages 8-13 (we will take girls age 7 who will be in 3rd grade in the upcoming school year). The cost covers everything needed for camp, including use of a period dress for the duration of camp, so that they can truly submerse themselves in this exciting period of Oklahoman/American History. Grace, Manners and Creativity will be encouraged with Period Dance, Games, Tea, and Crafts. Some skills that may be included: dances (quadrille, waltz, schottische and others); plain and fancy sewing; cooking/baking; hand coloring fashion plates; serving and attending tea, outdoor games (croquet, graces); indoor games, including playing for forfeits, period crafts.

Marna Jean Davis is a Living Historian and Historical Clothing Designer residing on her family farm in Hitchcock Oklahoma with her husband Doug, two daughters age 3 and 9. She has been working with children for many years for prestigious museums such as the Buffalo Bill Historic Center in Cody, WY as well as local schools and museums. She has been delighted to watch her 9 year old become "caught up" in the history of Samantha and has decided to open their home to other young ladies so that they can enjoy it as well. Doug and Marna Jean have a museum right in their home, where they love to teach young and old alike a bit more about history.
