A Visiting Dress 1894

Red shot (acetate) taffeta, one seam full sleeves, with shoulder frills, a false jacket front trimmed with black velvet ribbon makes pretty dress for walking or visiting.

A Tea Gown circa 1897

This design was taken from an 1897 Butterick catalog given to my by a dear friend Lady Diana. I made a few modifications to suit myself, the fabrics are a cotton twill in apple green and a crisp sheer, cotton voile with a rosebud print and is finished off with antique lace and buckle.

Walking Dress 1898

This design Is similar to a design in Harper's Bazar. The fabric is black and tan cotton, check, black cotton lace with a tan cotton lining. It has a simple 7 gore skirt, a false jacket front and fitted sleeves with a seperate shoulder puff. The dress is accented with black velvet ribbon. Great for day wear as well.
