A Cotton Print Day Dress circa 1898




A simple day dress in two pieces- the bodice having a "jacket" look, but is in reality just one piece. It features a small shoulder puff on a fitted sleeve, high collar and velvet trim, with tiny black vintage buttons. The skirt is a simple 7 gore made from Shooting Star's own patttern.



Blue Voile Dress 1893- 1895

An elegant yet simple design for the mid 1890's The fabric is a cotton voille in blue and white. The skirt is made with a polished cotton lining and is only joined to the gauze at the waistline.
The bodice is a simple basque style, with fitted polished cotton undersleeves and semi-large leg-o-mutton gauze sleeves over this. It is finished at the bottom edge with bias self fabric piping, and accented at the neckline with a removable collar of china silk and Battenburg.


Wedding Gown 1896

Ivory Tussah silk and embroidered net overlay make a simple and elegant wedding gown for the mid 1890's.
Basque and Skirt are seperate and the bodice closes center front behind the lace panel. The standing ruffle collar give a queen anne style neckline, and the large sleeves are set in flat pleats to give maximum fullness
